Texas High School Basketball - East Chambers thwarts Overton

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the East Chambers Buccaneers (Winnie, TX) and the host Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX), witnessed East Chambers's basketball squad prevail over Overton by a count of 52-37.

With the victory, East Chambers advances its record to 11-2 on the year. The Buccaneers host Little Cypress-Mauriceville (Orange, TX) to meet the Bears in a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 16. The Bears enter the battle with a record of 1-11. Little Cypress-Mauriceville lost 50-48 in their recent non-league battle against Warren (Warren, TX)

The Mustangs now hold a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Union Grove for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 16. Overton will meet a Lions squad coming off a 60-27 non-league loss to Arp (Arp, TX). The Lions record now stands at 4-9.
