Alabama High School Basketball - Wenonah knocks off Fairfield

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Wenonah Dragons basketball team scored a good 66-56 win over the Fairfield Tigers.

The Dragons (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sipsey Valley (Buhl, AL). The Bears come into the 5A Area 9 contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Sipsey Valley was topped by Holt (Holt, AL), 53-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Woodlawn Colonels (Birmingham, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 15. Fairfield will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Colonels come into the contest with a 9-4 record after their 63-55 non-league win over John Carroll Catholic (Birmingham, AL).
