The Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) basketball crushed the visiting Faribault Falcons (Faribault, MN), 77-39 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Mahtomedi for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 17. Orono will clash with a Zephyrs squad coming off a 74-38 non-league win over Delano (Delano, MN). The Zephyrs record now stands at 2-0.
The Falcons (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Byron (Byron, MN). The Bears come into the AAA Section 1 bout with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Byron bounced Lourdes (Rochester, MN), 85-64, in a non-league test.
