The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Holy Cross Knights (San Antonio, TX) and the host Zapata Hawks (Zapata, TX), observed Holy Cross's basketball team edge Zapata by a margin of 2-0.

The Knights (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against The Christian School at Castle Hills (San Antonio, TX). The Eagles come into the TAPPS 4A District 5 challenge with a 18-4 record. In their last challenge, The Christian School at Castle Hills was tipped by John Paul II (New Braunfels, TX), 74-73, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Laredo LBJ Wolves (Laredo, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 16. Zapata will attempt to better on its 4-16 season record. The Wolves go into the contest with a 9-5 record after their 77-36 non-league win over Donna North (Donna, TX).
