The Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) basketball edged the visiting Waxahachie Indians (Waxahachie, TX), 54-51 in Saturday's non-league battle.

With the victory, Lovejoy advances its record to 11-3 on the year. The Leopards travel to Celina (Celina, TX) to meet the Bobcats in a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 16. The Bobcats enter the battle with a record of 7-7. Celina lost 71-64 in their recent non-league battle against Richland (North Richland Hills, TX)

The Indians now own a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Horn for a 6A Region II District 11 battle on Tuesday, December 16. Waxahachie will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 52-47 non-league win over Lake Highlands (Dallas, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 11-3.
