Texas High School Basketball - Crockett victorious over Columbus

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Crockett Cougars basketball team scored a good 48-40 triumph over the Columbus Cardinals.
The Cougars (16-6) will now prepare for their contest against Cedar Creek (Cedar Creek, TX). The Eagles enter the 5A Region III District 24 match with a 3-10 record. In their last match, Cedar Creek was dropped by Lockhart (Lockhart, TX), 57-50, in a non-league match.
The Cardinals now own a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edna for a 3A Region IV District 25 match on Tuesday, December 16. Columbus will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 58-34 non-league win over Sweeny (Sweeny, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 13-3.
