Next, the Lions encounter the McLeod Longhorns (McLeod, TX) in a 2A Region III District 21 test, on Tuesday, December 16. Union Grove will attempt to improve on its 15-1 season record. The Longhorns come into the test with a 9-10 record after their 33-21 non-league win over Queen City (Queen City, TX).

The Bearkats (6-11) will now prepare for their test against Joaquin (Joaquin, TX). The Rams come into the non-league test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Joaquin knocked off Martinsville (Martinsville, TX), 56-37, in a non-league battle.
