In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Lordsburg Mavericks basketball squad scored a decisive 60-30 victory over the Hatch Valley Bears.
With the victory, Lordsburg upgrades its record to 4-4 on the year. The Mavericks host Cobre (Bayard, NM) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 16. The Indians enter the match with a record of 3-2. Cobre lost 65-55 in their recent non-league match against Thoreau (Thoreau, NM)
The Bears now sport a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tucumcari for a non-league match on Thursday, January 1.
