    • Kansas High School Basketball - Wichita County can't hold off Stanton County

    The Stanton County Trojans basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Wichita County Indians to 60 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.

    The Trojans now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lakin for a Hi-Plains contest on Friday, December 17. Stanton County will battle a Broncs team coming off a 84-61 non-league win over Sublette (Sublette, KS). The Broncs record now stands at 4-1.

    The Indians (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against St. Francis (St. Francis, KS). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, St. Francis was nudged by Wheatland-Grinnell (Grainfield, KS), 53-50, in a non-league contest.
