The English Valleys Bears basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Keota Eagles to 39 in the Bears league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iowa Valley for a South Iowa Cedar contest on Thursday, December 16. English Valleys will meet a Tigers team coming off a 41-39 league loss to Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-1.

The Eagles (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA). The Hawks enter the South Iowa Cedar contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Lynnville-Sully was outscored by Colfax-Mingo (Colfax, IA), 50-42, in a league contest.
