Gervais Cougars (Gervais, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Santiam Wolverines (Mill City, OR), 45-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Gervais upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Yamhill-Carlton (Yamhill, OR) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 17. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Yamhill-Carlton lost 49-32 in their recent non-league bout against Astoria (Astoria, OR)

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) in a 2A Tri-River bout, on Friday, December 17. Santiam will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
