Pulaski Academy Bruins (Little Rock, AR) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Heber Springs Panthers (Heber Springs, AR), 42-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pulaski Academy upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bruins host Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Nettleton won 63-50 in their recent non-league bout against Thayer (Thayer, MO)

Next up, the Panthers play the Bauxite Miners (Bauxite, AR) in a 4A Region 5 bout, on Saturday, December 17. Heber Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Miners come into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 72-43 league loss to Clinton (Clinton, AR).
