The Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) basketball felled the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), 67-56 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Cavaliers (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Glass (Lynchburg, VA). The Hilltoppers go into the Seminole test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Glass thwarted Amherst County (Amherst, VA), 64-50, in a league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Liberty for a non-league test on Saturday, December 17. Staunton River will encounter a Minutemen squad coming off a 43-37 league loss to Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Minutemen record now stands at 1-5.
