The South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) basketball crushed the visiting McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC), 75-50 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Sauras (6-2) will now prepare for their test against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals go into the 1A Conference 36 test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, East Wilkes walloped West Iredell (Statesville, NC), 59-41, in a non-league test.
The Phoenix now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host T.W. Andrews for a 2A Conference 34 test on Friday, December 16. McMichael will encounter a Red Raiders squad coming off a 88-73 non-league loss to Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC). The Red Raiders record now stands at 3-2.
