Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler (Mitchell, OR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sherman Huskies (Moro, OR), 56-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The travel to Burns (Burns, OR) to play the Hilanders in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Hilanders go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Burns won 70-48 in their recent non-league bout against Grant Union (John Day, OR)

Next up, the Huskies play the Ione/Arlington Cardinals (Ione, OR) in a 1A Big Sky bout, on Saturday, December 17. Sherman will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 53-40 non-league loss to Vernonia (Vernonia, OR).
