The Central Aroostook Panthers basketball team scored 34 points and held the host Ashland Hornets to 24 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Panthers now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hodgdon for a C North contest on Friday, December 16. Central Aroostook will meet a Hawks team coming off a 65-12 non-league win over Washburn (Washburn, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 2-0.

The Hornets (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Madawaska (Madawaska, ME). The Owls enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record.
