The Canfield Cardinals basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Austintown-Fitch Falcons to 35 in the Cardinals league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Struthers for a non-league contest on Friday, December 16. Canfield will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 67-44 league win over Lakeview (Cortland, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-2.

The Falcons (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Cardinal Mooney (Youngstown, OH). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Cardinal Mooney was outscored by Boardman (Youngstown, OH), 55-24, in a non-league contest.
