Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders (Altoona, PA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Central Dragons (Martinsburg, PA), 52-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bishop Guilfoyle upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Marauders travel to Richland (Johnstown, PA) to play the Rams in a Laurel Highlands bout on Friday, December 16. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Richland won 57-39 in their recent league bout against Somerset (Somerset, PA)

Coming up next, the Dragons confront the Bishop Carroll Huskies (Ebensburg, PA) in a Laurel Highlands battle, on Friday, December 16. Central will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Huskies come into the battle with a 2-1 record after their 48-21 league win over Bedford (Bedford, PA).
