Gilmer County Titans (Glenville, WV) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Calhoun Red Devils (Mt. Zion, WV), 54-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Gilmer County upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Clay County (Clay, WV) to play the Panthers in a Little Kanawha - East bout on Friday, December 16. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Clay County lost 44-22 in their recent league bout against Roane County (Spencer, WV)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Doddridge County Bulldogs (West Union, WV) in a Little Kanawha - East bout, on Monday, December 19. Calhoun will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 53-46 non-league loss to Cameron (Cameron, WV).
