Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Canyon View Jaguars (Waddell, AZ) and the host Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), witnessed Canyon View's basketball squad topple Desert Edge by a margin of 33-21.

The Jaguars (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Vipers go into the 5A Desert West test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Verrado went down by Williams Field (Gilbert, AZ), 50-23, in a non-league test.

The Scorpions now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Agua Fria for a non-league test on Monday, December 19. Desert Edge will encounter a Owls squad coming off a 44-37 non-league loss to Eastmark (Mesa, AZ). The Owls record now stands at 6-4.
