The Escalante Moquis basketball team (Escalante, UT), was overwhelmed 58-33 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT)

The Thunderbirds now possess a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wayne for a 1A Region 20 battle on Thursday, December 15. Piute will confront a Badgers team coming off a 34-30 league loss to Valley (Orderville, UT). The Badgers record now stands at 3-2.
