The Wharton Wildcats basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Gaither Cowboys to 26 in the Wildcats league triumph on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Berkeley Prep for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 15. Wharton will meet a Buccaneers team coming off a 54-19 non-league loss to Hillsborough (Tampa, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 0-7.

The Cowboys (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Pinellas Park (Largo, FL). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Pinellas Park was routed by St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg, FL), 86-9, in a non-league contest.
