Westmoreland Eagles (Montross, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host West Point Pointers (West Point, VA), 46-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Westmoreland upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Colonial Forge (Stafford, VA) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 21. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 1-2.

Next up, the Pointers play the Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) in a Tidewater challenge, on Friday, December 16. West Point will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 52-36 league loss to King William (King William, VA).
