The Ashville Bulldogs basketball team scored 97 points and restricted the visiting Ragland Purple Devils to 29 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Thursday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oneonta for a 4A Area 11 contest on Friday, December 15. Ashville will battle a Redskins team coming off a 45-31 non-league loss to Arab (Arab, AL). The Redskins record now stands at 7-4.
The Purple Devils (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Appalachian (Oneonta, AL). The Eagles come into the 1A Area 10 contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Appalachian triumphed over Vincent (Vincent, AL), 52-40, in a non-league contest.
