DeWitt Dragons (DeWitt, AR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Augusta Red Devils (Augusta, AR), 73-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, DeWitt upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Dragons travel to Palestine-Wheatley (Palestine, AR) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 4-5.

Next up, the Red Devils play the Brinkley Tigers (Brinkley, AR) in a 1A Region 5 bout, on Friday, December 15. Augusta will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 63-38 league win over Marvell (Marvell, AR).
