Central Lee Hawks (Donnellson, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Danville Bears (Danville, IA), 58-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Central Lee upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Hawks travel to Columbus (Columbus Junction, IA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Bears play the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons (Letts, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Danville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 59-45 non-league win over Durant (Durant, IA).
