Vancleave Bulldogs (Vancleave, MS) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS), 60-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Vancleave upgrades its record to 1-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS) to play the War Eagles in a 5A Region 4 bout on Friday, December 15. The War Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Wayne County won 46-36 in their recent league bout against Stone (Wiggins, MS)

Next up, the Hornets play the Richton Rebels (Richton, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. East Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
