Elmwood-Murdock Knights (Murdock, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Syracuse Rockets (Syracuse, NE), 39-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elmwood-Murdock upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Knights travel to Sacred Heart (Falls City, NE) to play the Irish in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Irish go into the bout with a record of 4-0.

Next up, the Rockets play the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors (Lincoln, NE) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Syracuse will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
