Gladstone Braves (Gladstone, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Manistique Emeralds (Manistique, MI), 47-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gladstone upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Braves travel to Escanaba (Escanaba, MI) to play the Eskymos in a Great Northern U.P. bout on Friday, December 22. The Eskymos go into the bout with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Emeralds play the Gwinn Modeltowners (Gwinn, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula bout, on Friday, December 15. Manistique will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Modeltowners go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 58-37 league loss to Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI).
