The Houghton Gremlins basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Hancock Bulldogs to 27 in the Gremlins league triumph on Thursday.
The Gremlins now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calumet for a Western Peninsula contest on Monday, December 18. Houghton will meet a Copper Kings team coming off a 59-25 non-league loss to Lake Linden-Hubbell (Lake Linden, MI). The Copper Kings record now stands at 3-2.
The Bulldogs (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Chassell (Chassell, MI). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Chassell triumphed over L'Anse (L'Anse, MI), 78-38, in a league contest.
