Michigan High School Basketball - Portage Central nips Lakeview

Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lakeview Spartans (Battle Creek, MI), 79-74 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Portage Central upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Caledonia (Caledonia, MI) to play the Fighting Scots in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Fighting Scots go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Caledonia won 80-76 in their recent non-league bout against Covenant Christian (Grand Rapids, MI)

Next up, the Spartans play the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants (Kalamazoo, MI) in a Southwestern Michigan - East bout, on Thursday, December 21. Lakeview will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record.
