The Science Park Chargers basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Shabazz Bulldogs to 35 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Chargers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nutley for a Super Essex - Independence contest on Saturday, December 16. Science Park will meet a Maroon Raiders team coming off a 53-52 non-league loss to West Orange (West Orange, NJ). The Maroon Raiders record now stands at 0-1.

The Bulldogs (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Barringer (Newark, NJ). The Blue Bears enter the Super Essex - Colonial contest with a 0-0 record.
