Acorn Tigers (Mena, AR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lavaca Golden Arrows (Lavaca, AR), 75-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Acorn upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Spring Hill (Hope, AR) to play the Bears in a 2A Region 7 bout on Monday, December 18. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 4-6.

Next up, the Golden Arrows play the Paris Eagles (Paris, AR) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Lavaca will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 55-48 league loss to Two Rivers (Ola, AR).
