The Cherokee Chiefs basketball team (Rogersville, TN), was overwhelmed 54-26 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Washburn Pirates (Washburn, TN)
The Pirates now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union County for a non-league battle on Friday, December 29. Washburn will confront a Patriots team coming off a 57-46 league win over Gibbs (Corryton, TN). The Patriots record now stands at 5-3.
The Chiefs (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Morristown-Hamblen East (Morristown, TN). The Hurricanes come into the non-league battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Morristown-Hamblen East was overwhelmed by Sevier County (Sevierville, TN), 48-31, in a league battle.
