Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Montclair Mounties (Montclair, NJ) and the visiting East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ), saw Montclair's basketball squad hold off East Side by a count of 43-39.

With the victory, Montclair upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign.

Next up, the Red Raiders play the Livingston Lancers (Livingston, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 16. East Side will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 52-16 league loss to Verona (Verona, NJ).
