Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA) and the host Valley Tigers (West Des Moines, IA), saw Johnston's basketball squad overcome Valley by a tally of 67-50.
With the victory, Johnston improves its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Dragons host Hopkins (Minnetonka, MN) to confront the Royals in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Royals come into the challenge with a record of 6-1. Hopkins won 73-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastview (Apple Valley, MN)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Sioux City East Black Raiders (Sioux City, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 16. Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Black Raiders come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 69-51 league win over Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA).
