New Dorp Central Cougars (Staten Island, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Port Richmond Raiders (Staten Island, NY), 76-41 in a league bout.

With the win, New Dorp upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Central Cougars host Beacon (Beacon, NY) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-0. Beacon won 43-23 in their recent non-league bout against East Harlem (New York, NY)

Next up, the Raiders play the Wagner Falcons (Staten Island, NY) in a PSAL AAAA Staten Island bout, on Monday, December 18. Port Richmond will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
