Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes (Schuylkill Haven, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders (Coal Township, PA), 40-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Schuylkill Haven upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to MMI Preparatory School (Freeland, PA) to clash with the in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The go into the bout with a record of 0-2. MMI Preparatory School lost 53-11 in their recent non-league bout against Northwest Area (Shickshinny, PA)

Next up, the Red Raiders clash with the Sullivan County Griffins (Laporte, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Our Lady of Lourdes Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Griffins go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 63-15 league win over Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (Bloomsburg, PA).
