George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA), 25-7 in a non-league bout.

With the win, George Washington upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Eagles host Halifax County (South Boston, VA) to clash with the Comets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Cavaliers clash with the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Chatham will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
