Texas High School Basketball - Montgomery toppled by Aldine

Aldine Mustangs (Houston, TX) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX), 66-53 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Aldine advances its record to 12-10 on the year. The Mustangs travel to MacArthur (Houston, TX) to face the Generals in a 6A Region II District 14 match on Tuesday, December 17. The Generals enter the match with a record of 4-7. MacArthur won 49-39 in their recent non-league match against Channelview (Channelview, TX)

The Bears now own a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brenham for a 5A Region III District 17 match on Tuesday, December 17. Montgomery will face a Cubs squad coming off a 68-55 non-league win over Angleton (Angleton, TX). The Cubs record now stands at 11-6.
