The Briarwood Christian Lions (Birmingham, AL) basketball edged the host Indian Springs Student (Pelham, AL), 54-51 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Pineville for a non-league bout on Thursday, December 19.

With the loss, Indian Springs falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Student travel to Fairfield (Fairfield, AL) to play the Tigers in a 4A Area 7 bout on Tuesday, December 17. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 11-1. Fairfield won 53-41 in their recent non-league bout against Milton (Milton, FL)
