In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Estacado Matadors basketball team scored a good 84-64 win over the Brownfield Cubs.
The Matadors (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Seminole (Seminole, TX). The Indians come into the non-league test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Seminole beat Hereford (Hereford, TX), 55-30, in a non-league test.
The Cubs (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Denver City (Denver City, TX). The Mustangs come into the 3A Region I District 3 test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Denver City was knocked off by Kermit (Kermit, TX), 48-47, in a non-league test.
