The Calhoun County Cougars basketball team scored 91 points and limited the host Miller County Pirates to 61 in the Cougars league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now possess a 9-0 record. They play next when they host Terrell County for a A D2 Region 1 game on Tuesday, December 17. Calhoun County will confront a Greenwave team coming off a 62-34 league win over Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA). The Greenwave record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Miller County falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Pirates host Quitman County (Georgetown, GA) to confront the Hornets in a A D2 Region 1 game on Tuesday, December 17. The Hornets go into the game with a record of 4-6. Quitman County lost 81-39 in their recent league game against Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA)
