In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Westlake Chaparrals basketball team scored a good 59-50 win over the Cypress Falls Eagles.

The Chaparrals (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Austin (Austin, TX). The Maroons come into the 6A Region IV District 26 contest with a 5-9 record.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Northbrook Raiders (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 17 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Cypress Falls will attempt to better on its 11-6 season record. The Raiders come into the contest with a 6-4 record after their 50-38 non-league loss to Galena Park (Galena Park, TX).
