Eureka Vandals (Eureka, NV) fans went home pleased Saturday as they observed their basketball team edge the host Pahranagat Valley Panthers (Alamo, NV), 36-34 in a non-league challenge.

The Vandals (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Smith Valley (Smith, NV). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Smith Valley edged Pershing County (Lovelock, NV), 52-48, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 14. Pahranagat Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Muckers come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 44-12 non-league win over Lund (Lund, NV).
