In Saturday's league contest, the host Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men Knights basketball team scored a big 75-31 triumph over the Scarborough Spartans.

The Knights (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Wheatley (Houston, TX). The Wildcats go into the 4A Region III District 20 contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Wheatley smashed Worthing (Houston, TX), 86-66, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Kashmere Fighting Rams (Houston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 contest, on Monday, December 16. Scarborough will attempt to better on its 1-10 season record. The Fighting Rams go into the contest with a 3-7 record after their 67-50 league loss to Furr (Houston, TX).
