In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Chico Panthers basketball team scored a good 45-34 triumph over the Las Plumas Thunderbirds.
The Panthers (7-0) will now prepare for their contest against River Valley (Yuba City, CA). The Falcons go into the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, River Valley was topped by Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA), 72-31, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds battle the Red Bluff Spartans (Red Bluff, CA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Las Plumas will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 46-42 non-league loss to West Valley (Cottonwood, CA).
