In Saturday's non-league contest, the host West Valley Eagles basketball team scored a close 46-42 triumph over the Red Bluff Spartans.
The Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Orland (Orland, CA). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Orland nipped Non Freshman Opponent (, ), 78-16, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Spartans battle the Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Red Bluff will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 45-34 non-league loss to Chico (Chico, CA).
