In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting West Valley Eagles basketball team scored a good 54-37 triumph over the Yreka Miners.

The Eagles (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Red Bluff (Red Bluff, CA). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Red Bluff topped Corning (Corning, CA), 59-20, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Miners battle the Central Valley Falcons (Shasta Lake, CA) in a contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Yreka will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
