The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Vinalhaven Vikings (Vinalhaven, ME) and the host North Haven Hawks (North Haven, ME), observed Vinalhaven's basketball team overwhelm North Haven by a score of 47-26.

The Vikings (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Wiscasset (Wiscasset, ME). The Wolverines come into the D South challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Wiscasset was routed by Forest Hills (Jackman, ME), 73-15, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Pine Tree Academy Breakers (Freeport, ME) in a D South challenge, on Monday, December 16. North Haven will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Breakers come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 40-23 league win over Telstar (Bethel, ME).
